What a weekend for the Tour!

Not very many pictures from the Palm Valley Golf Club. Due mostly to bad rounds by almost everybody. There weren't many good photo opportunities in a round where only 3 people shot under 100 and only 2 in the 80's! Chris picked up the win with a score of 84 and had Carlo right behind him at 87. Huge drop-off from there with newcomer Rich placing 3rd in his first ever event with a 98. This was followed by horrible scores of 106 by dylan, 108 from Charlie, 112 from Mike, 113 from Alexis and Magoo rounded us out with a 122! With conversations about Wisconsinites small vaginas going on during the round, it's easy to see why the scores were so bad! This did however bring big changes to the Match play bracket, with one player suspended (who we will get to later) and bad rounds by some of the top guys, the Match Play bracket got a little more interesting!

The biggest move has to be Charlie Hopkins moving out of a first round match-up with Chris to the other side of the bracket facing off against Magoo. This move actually made Carlo's march to the Finals a lot tougher! The match-up we are all looking forward to is 3 seed Chris Vs. 6 seed Alexis, who boldly (or stupidly) claimed he would win 5-4! Late addition Jesse is trying to pull off the biggest upset in Match Play history if he can knock off The 1 seed Carlo. Mike made a move up to play Dylan, Mike seemed to like his chances but only time will tell!
Match Play is officially here!
No major movements on the board this week, Chris tied up Dylan for 2nd and newcomer Rich finds himself above 2 other players after one weekend, that's the great thing about the tour, everybody gets on the board!
Updated LeaderBoard
The Schedule has been updated, the dates & events are all solid, but the locations are not. We will determine those as we get closer to the event but this is pretty much what we are shooting for.
The tentative schedule
And now for the Sad news of the weekend, Westside Tour Pro Berto Chairez found himself involved with the law this past weekend, we all know this is another case of the man trying to bring down the greatest athletes in the world, especially the Westside Tour golfers. We tried to reach Berto for a comment but he has not responded (maybe because his phone is property of Phoenix Police until later today). It is only a coincidence that after they got Tiger Woods, they would come after the most notorious guy on our tour! Also keep in mind that we are innocent until proven guilty, but the tour cannot tolerate this type of behavior and has no choice but to suspend Berto for the Match Play tournament. He will be reinstated Monday, July 2nd or until he gets his golf clubs back from his truck, whichever comes first. But will be on probation for the duration of the season. We all hope the best for him and look forward to seeing his career flourish once he is back on the tour!

Match Play Update!

This is the new Match Play Bracket. There is a consolation bracket to determine 3rd place and so on. This is for the point standings on the tour. This is also our second Major of the year so be prepared!

Match Play Rules:

The player that puts his ball in the hole in the LEAST amount of strokes, wins the hole.
If the two players tie, nobody wins the hole it is a push.
The pushed hole does not carry over to the next.
The round is over when there is no way to tie or push after 9. (For example if Chris is up 3 holes on Charlie with 2 holes to go, the round is over!)
Each round will be NINE holes of golf.
You win a round by winning the most holes, if there is a tie for any round it will go to a chip & putt off.
The chip spot will be determined by the other golfers not involved in the playoff.
The person who wins will move on to the winners bracket and the loser goes to the consolation bracket.
You will be responsible for counting your opponents strokes, so pay attention!
And as in all Majors on the Tour, THERE ARE NO MULLIGANS!

This isn't a scenery shot, that splash you see in Magoo's ball. Somehow he STILL shot a 5 on this hole!
