A final note from the commissioner to end the 2012 season

First off I would like to say thanks to everybody who came out and participated in the West Side PGA Tour's inaugural season. If you played only one round or every round, you played a part in something we hope to make into a big thing in the coming years. Although we didn't have a set schedule this year and this whole thing just came about from a group of guys wanting to have some fun on the golf course, we put together a nice season.

The wheels have already begun for next season's tour. It will begin on April 1st, 2013. The first event of the year will be April 7th, 2013. We have had preliminary talks about starting the tour in Las Vegas, more info on that as it becomes available. the tour will run until Saturday August 31st, 2013. The 2nd annual West Side PGA Players Championship will be held that day at a location to be determined.

The talks have already begun to turn this thing into a non profit organization. We are looking for some sponsorships in addition to the one that we may already have that will contribute to some nice causes in our community. We have already decided to help out children from underprivileged communities and making some contributions to breast cancer research. We have already elected the President, CFO, and additional board members for the tour. More information about this will be posted after we finish all the necessary paperwork and gather additional information on how to run a non profit organization.

We have our sights set on playing 3 weekends a month, but if we get the organization up and running to it's full potential by then we may have to play every weekend to benefit our sponsors and charitable organizations to whom we will donate to. The board also has talked about participating in some walks that benefit breast cancer and also helping those kids who may not have the opportunity to learn the game of golf.

Once again, it was a great 1st year considering the way we threw it together I am privileged to have played with all of you on this tour. If this thing does get off the ground as we all hope it does, It will be my honor to know that some kids from the West Side got this started from nothing!

Sincerely, The Commish
